User Data Deletion

Jungle CRM connects to Facebook / Instagram through Meta Login so travel companies can receive Lead Ads into their CRM. This page explains how to request deletion of Facebook-related data stored by Jungle CRM, as required by Meta's Platform Terms.

1. What data we store from Facebook

When an authorized Jungle CRM user connects Facebook for a company, we may store:

  • Facebook user ID and display name of the person who connected the account
  • Encrypted access tokens for the Facebook user and selected Pages
  • Connected Page IDs/names, Instagram Business Account IDs (if linked), and Lead Form IDs/names
  • Optional field mappings between Facebook Lead Form questions and CRM lead fields
  • Webhook processing logs related to Lead Ads delivery

Leads created from Facebook or Instagram Lead Ads become business records of the travel company using Jungle CRM. Those companies typically act as the data controller for customer/lead information.

2. How to delete your Facebook connection data (recommended)

  1. Sign in to Jungle CRM.
  2. Open Settings → Marketing Integrations (or Admin → Social → Integrations).
  3. In Facebook & Instagram Lead Ads, click Disconnect.

Disconnect removes Page webhook subscriptions for that company, disables the integration, and clears active sync settings. Historical CRM leads remain so the company can keep its sales history.

3. Request deletion through Facebook

You can also remove Jungle CRM's access from Facebook and trigger Meta's user data deletion flow:

  1. Open Facebook → Settings & privacy SettingsApps and websites.
  2. Find the Jungle CRM / Meta app used by your organization and remove it.
  3. If Facebook offers a data deletion request for the app, submit it. Meta will call our automated deletion endpoint and provide a confirmation code.

Check request status at /data-deletion/status using the confirmation code Facebook shows you.

4. Email / admin request

If you cannot access the CRM, ask your company's Jungle CRM administrator to:

  • Disconnect Facebook under Marketing Integrations for the affected company, or
  • Contact the Jungle CRM license holder / support channel used by your organization and include:
    • Your name and email
    • Company name in Jungle CRM
    • Facebook user ID or Page name (if known)
    • That you are requesting Facebook user data deletion

We aim to complete verified requests within 30 days.

5. What is deleted vs retained

Deleted or deactivated on a valid request

  • Facebook user connection records and encrypted tokens
  • Page/form sync selections and subscriptions for that connection
  • Associated Facebook integration status for the company connection

Usually retained

  • CRM leads and notes already created for the travel company (business records controlled by that company)
  • Audit / legal records the company is required to keep

Travelers or customers who want their lead/contact data deleted should contact the travel company that collected their information.
